DAR Engineering, a leading design and engineering consultant in Saudi Arabia, needs highly qualified and motivated candidates for the installation of energy management, Electricity Market Management, Computer Hardware, Software and Networking solutions for the National Electricity Control Center project.

1. EMS / SCADA System Engineer
   B.E. or B.Tech. in Electrical, Electrics or Computer Engineering
   • Should have hand on experience in SCADA Projects; including design review, installation, testing and scheduling of milestones.

2. Software Programming Engineer
   B.E. Or B.Tech in Software Engineering or equivalent
   • Should have hands on experience in the installation and maintenance of ORACLE 10.2. I RAC on LINUX, Data Guard with Standby Databases, RMAN Backup and Recovery System, TAF, use of SPF File, performance tuning of applications and Unix scripting (KomShell and Perl).
   • Should have good experience in the maintenance of system databases, system archiving and backup, system restoration and system applications.

   Note: For positions 1 and 2 the candidates should have:

   • Working knowledge of all phases of SCADA System Master Station and Substation SCADA Equipment Installation and Commissioning, consisting of servers, front and processors, workstations, displays, remote terminal units, interface to telecom equipment and all associate SCADA software applications.
   • Working knowledge of Energy Management System (EMS) software such as Automatic.

3. MMS Lead Engineer (Market Applications)
   B.E. or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Power)

   Should have working knowledge of:

   • Marketing Information - application for supporting market participant data exchanges and to provide database and archiving functions.
   • Marketing Applications - application for calculating dispatch schedules and market prices.
   • Commercial Operations System - application for metering, settlements and accounting.
   • Supervision of Level-I engineering support to the Wholesale Energy Market System operations.

4. Hardware Engineer (Market Infrastructure)
   M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
   • Should have working knowledge of large computing system integration, security techniques, and hands on experience in Oracle, Java, C++, UNIX/AIX.
   • Supervision of Level-I engineering support to the Wholesale Energy market System operators.

5. Software Engineer (Market Applications)
   M.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent
   • Should have working knowledge of software programming.
   • Should have good experience in maintenance of system database, system archiving, backup and restoration and system application maintenance.

   Note: For positions 4 and 5, the candidates should:

   • Have working knowledge of marketing of market system infrastructure functions (hardware / software interfaces to market participants' systems and to SCADA/EMS, metering, billing and settlements systems, lifecycle management, funds administration, commercial reconciliation, prudential risk management, archival/ management of historical database, market information management, reports, operator and market participant GUI, web and market participant interface security and control, etc.0 as they apply to real time and forward electricity markets.

   Be capable of supervising training programs for Wholesale Energy Market System stakeholders and market participants in applications features of the Marketing Management System (MMS).

6. Networking Engineer
   B.E. in Computer/ Electronics
   • In-depth working knowledge of LAN and WAN using CISCO routers, multiplayer switches as well as firewalls.

   Should have:

   • CISCO CCNA qualification
   • MCSE Certification
   • Excellent IT skills
   • Excellent problem - solving skills

Experience:
Candidates for all the above positions should have a minimum experience of 10 years in the relevant fields.
