| Question: Hi! I have done BDS from MCODS Manipal, I am doing my internship at the moment. I dont want to do MDS as it is little tough to clear entrance exam and expensive too. Are there any specialized courses and Diploma courses suitable for a Dentist. I also want to continue my further course in Delhi, Please suggest. | ||
| Answer: Apart from graduate and post graduate courses, some institutes also offer diploma courses of 2 years in dental hygiene and dental mechanics. The work of the dental hygienist is to assist the dentist during his clinical work and to cleanse the teeth and give oral hygiene instructions to the patients while work of the dental mechanic is to fabricate dentures and appliances etc. in laboratory. You can opt for that if you want.
