| Answer: Fashion schools offer a number of courses in areas such as Accessory and Jewelry Design, garment designing, interior design, Textile Technology, Textile Design and Footwear design. The popular courses opted by students to gain expertise are garment manufacturing technology, textile science, apparel construction methods, fabric dyeing and printing, color mixing and computer-aided design.There are several Graduate, Post graduate, Certificate and Diploma courses in Fashion Designing. Minimum eligibility for the Undergraduate course in this field is 10+2 and for Post Graduate courses graduation. Admission to these courses is made through written test, group discussion and interview.
For admission in NIFT, the applications forms are available in the month of November and December. Then there is Written Examination, Situation Test / GD / Interviews for the purpose of entrance in the month of March and April. Following Bachelor Programs are offered by NIFT:
