Question: Hello,
I am a dentist by profession. I would like to pursue my career in the Clinical Research field. I reside in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Would you please guide me, should I opt for certified courses or PG courses? If so, which one to opt. As I am working I have intentions of attending only weekend classes. Could you please guide me with the universities dealing with such courses. Thank you and regards Dr. Indumathi

Answer: Dear Dr.Indumathi,
Clinical Research is a systematic study for new drugs in human subjects to generate data for discovering or verifying the Clinical, Pharmacological (including pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic) or adverse effects with the objective of determining safety and efficacy of the new drug. The Institute for Clinical Research (India) is one of the leading institution offering courses in clinical research.

1 year part time PG Diploma in Clinical Research is offered by the ICRI for professionals and they conduct weekend classes (every Saturday 4-8 pm) and the procedure for admission is through a personal interview. For further details visit www.icriindia.com

Hope that helps.
