| Answer: Degrees actually don't guarantee good jobs. That depends on many other factors too.
Many public and private companies employ GIS graduates in different levels. Public Sector organisations like ISRO, NRSA, National Informatics Centre (NIC) and other Governmental departments like urban developmental authorities and municipal bodies employ GIS trained personnel based upon their requirements. However, the percentage of job share in private companies is much more than the government departments as a number of private companies opting for mapping works for different needs. One can also pursue research in this field as a number of research companies use GIS technology in different areas in the public sector. Your MCA background would definitely help you in pursuing this course and this career.
All the best |
