| Answer: A combined biotechnology entrance exams is conducted for admission into M.Sc(Agri) and MTech Biotechnology is conducted by the JNU for different participating universities. JNU conducts the combined biotechnology entrance exams for 30 Universities.
Students must have completed graduation in physics, biology, chemistry, agriculture, veterinary, fishery sciences, pharmacy, engineering or technology. MBBS or BDS candidates with at least 55% are eligible to apply. The exam is divided into two parts. Part A has multiple choices questions which is of the level of standard XII. this is subdivided into two Section -I,II and III. Section I has 40 questions from physics and chemistry, Section II has 20 questions from Mathmatics,Section III has 20 questions from Biology. Candidates have option to answer questions from either Section II or III. Part A will have 60 questions.One mark for each correct answer and half mark is cut for each incorrect answer. Part B has multiple-choice graduate level questions requiring analysis. 40 questions are from physics and mathematics, 40 questions are from biology including botany, zoology, biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, molecular biology and 20 questions from chemistry.The candidates attempts 60 questions. Each question carries three marks and one mark is cut for each wrong answer. The exams take place in May
