| Question: Dear Sir/Madam, I have completed B.A. Tourism Management & then I've completed IATA/UFTAA FOUNDATION Course & now I'm doing M.A. Tourism Management through Distance education but still I'm a fresher...since I was born & brought up in a Hill Area, I don't have much exposure to the outside world.. I don't know in what way I can start my career..how can I find them. Please Advice |

| Answer: Opportunities abound after successful completion of Masters in Tourism. As tourist inflow is increasing in India numerous travel agencies, Airlines, Ministry of Tourism requires professionals having Post Graduate Degree in Tourism or Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism Management or Tourism Administration to handle the tourists. Thus you have the option of choosing either the public sector or the private sector. There are opportunities in the tourism department of the center and the states as Tourism Officers, information assistants and Tourist guides etc. You can get a job in travel agencies, as tour operator, in airlines, hotels, transport and cargo companies etc. After a few years of experience, you can also start your own business by handling all travel requirements of their clients.
