| Question: What is scope of Taxonomy in Australia? | ||
| Answer: There is an inadequate funding for biodiversity research; diminishing pool of expertise and career opportunities for taxonomists in Australia. There is virtually non-existent taxonomic training provided by universities along with a largely uncoordinated biodiversity research effort with many missed opportunities through lack of collaborative agreements and associated funding.
Taxonomic research in Australia is badly underdeveloped and cannot provide an adequate basis for understanding and use of their environment. So to sum up we can say that there isn't much scope in this field in Australia.
Hope this helps |
