I have given final year exams for ba with subjects history and economics. I am even doing bca from a open university. In bca its my 6th and final sem. i recently came to know about a course i.e MA IN INTERNATIONAL STUDIES from GOA UNIVERSITY.i would like to know if this course is worth doing?what are its future perspectives. And if this course is not upto the mark then please kindly suggest me any new innovative literary courses through which i can make my career too. thanking you and hope would surely get a reply soon |

| Answer: International studies is a discipline that encompasses study of international relations, international politics, globally concerned issues like global warming and nuclear proliferation, international institutions and organisations like UN and WHO and cultural issues. Employment opportunities are in government organisations, NGOs, media houses and embassies. Civil services is a good options after this course. Teaching at JNU or IIFT would also be a good option. Abroad, the opportunities available are in UNCTAD/UNESCO/ICJ.
If you are interested in English Literature then you can go for M.A English.For a student of English literature, the options open are in the fields of teaching, journalism, media research, technical writing, public relations or advertising.
