You can work in the field of botanical survey, farm management, eco-botany, flori / horticulture, biotechnology etc. Almost all colleges and universities offer courses in plant science and there are faculty positions for botanists with different specialties. In addition, educational institutions employ botanists as researchers and administrators. To work as a lecturer, you need to clear the UGC-NET exam.
