Question: I am studying in T.Y B.PHARMA and want to become a drug inspector.I want to know how to apply.Is there any entrance exam i need to give? Also what is the duration of course and what is the fees for it?
 
Answer: The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation recruits drugs inspectors through the UPSC exam.

To be a drug inspector you need any of the following qualifications:
A degree in pharmacy or pharmaceutical chemistry, or a masters degree in chemistry with pharmaceuticals as a special subject or an associate diploma of the Institute of Chemists (India) obtained by passing the exam with analysis of drugs and pharmaceuticals as a subject or pharmaceutical chemist diploma of the Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain or a degree in medicine or science with at least one year training in a laboratory under a: (i) government analyst appointed under the Drugs & Cosmetics Act or
(ii) chemical examiner or
(iii) Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chemistry, Great Britain (Branch E).
