Pre Sales engineer
Job Location:  Kigali (Kigali-Rural-Rwanda)
Job Description:  • Architecture/design some of the most complex solutions using the latest technology
• Initiate pre-sales activities, consulting services and products – Developed projects’ scopes (SOW, scope of work) and prepared proposals.
• Perform competitive analyses.
• Attended industry trade shows, exhibitions, seminars and training sessions to promote products and services
• Work with the sales team to develop selling strategy within the target accounts – Created and delivered effective presentations and sales tools for the sales team.
• Work with regional sales managers to provide pre/post-sales support – Work with the sales team to design, propose, and close new deals/opportunities with customers.
• Works deals assigned to the sales team supported, prioritizing effort based on maximizing total impact on team productivity and profit, or as directed by the sales manager.
• Presales engineers respond to customer requests for proposals, develop designs and bills of materials for cost-effective solutions, and provide shoulder-to-shoulder knowledge transfer or training to implementation teams bringing the technology solutions online and within the team. The pre-sales engineer must be well-versed in selling company's portfolio of products and services and keep up with new technologies entering the market.
• Proactively scopes the technical solution required to address customer requirements, assesses customers’ met and unmet needs, and recommends solutions that optimize value for both the customer and the firm.
• Secures input from all necessary solution stakeholders within the customer firm.
• Adapts solutions, as necessary, to ensure appropriate support.
• Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
• Secures from customer technical staff commitments needed to ensure a deal’s “technical close.”
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales growth in assigned product lines, market areas, channel, or teams supported.
• Provides coaching and professional development to team member sales associates in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
• Opportunistically pursues additional business development opportunities within customer firms.
• Collaborates with sales to ensure these opportunities are effectively covered.
• Work in partnership with sales managers to help customers determine the best technology solutions to meet their business needs in the areas of data, voice and video networks, security, storage and servers
• Monitors customer support for technical solutions proposed throughout the sales process, and alerts the sales and account teams to potential risks of deal closure.
Functional Area:  ITES/BPO/KPO/Customer Service
The Pre-Sales Engineer supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The PSE collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, and are appropriately supported by key customer technical decision-makers.
Take full responsibility for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and/or channel supported. PSE should be an expert with specialized technology experience in network solutions, storage, servers and security.
Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the PSE reports on a dotted line to the sales manager or business line manager responsible for the sales team supported..
Candidate Requirement
Four year college degree from an accredited institution, Btech IT/Electronics. Advanced professional certifications like Cisco MCSE/CCNP/CCIE or similar
Bachelor’s degree in [Computer Science, network engineering or information security Mathematics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or related field is required accompanied with technology designated certifications.
Master’s degree in Business Administration
An associate degree might suffice if an applicant also holds technology certifications in networking, storage, security or virtualization..
Experience:  3 - 6 years
Qualification:  Graduate in Engineering with B.E./B.Tech
