The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the world's leading organization working for the rights of children, is seeking to recruit the following staff:
WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) Specialist
The incumbent will be responsible for technical support and facilitation of State Government's policy analysis, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the national Rural Water Supply programme and Total Sanitation Campaign, School and Anganwadi Watsan programme as well as provision of technical assistance to focus districts. S/he will work under the daily supervision of the Programme Manager, Patna and will work at the both State and District level. S/he will also take sector specific guidance from the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) section in Delhi.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience: Advanced university degree in any of the following areas: Environmental Science, Hydrology or Environmental, Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Public Hearth or a related field associated with water supply, sanitation and hygiene behaviour change. Five years of progressively responsible professional work experience in social development and engineering, project administration, capacity building and training, monitoring and evaluation, multi-stakeholder planning and knowledge management
