Field Engineers (Wireline & Borehole Seismic)
A field engineer will supervise the delivery of best-in class wireline and borehole seismic logging services to Oil Companies. The successful candidate will manage operations on oil rigs, in our outside the country Applicants should have: A bachelor's degree in engineering or a post graduate degree in physics or geology, from a reputed college/university. Strong practical aptitude, initiative, responsibility and desire for outdoor work.
A maintenance engineer will ensure that the electronic, electrical and electromechanical equipment is maintained to Baker Atlas quality standards. Applicant should have: A bachelor's degree in electronics/electrical engineering from a reputed university. Strong practical aptitude, initiative, troubleshooting skills, and quality awareness.
Primary duties will include the processing and geological analysis of a wide variety of wireline log and subsurface data. Responsibilities will also include client liaison, report writing and data presentation. Candidate should have understanding of wireline log data, experience in the integration of log and core data, experience in sedimentary facies analysis, depositional environment interpretation and core description, and a sound knowledge of sequence stratigraphy. Candidates should be post graduates having an upper first class degree in the geo-science field, with minimum 3 years working experience.
Primary duties will include processing and interpretation of a wide variety of wireline log data. Responsibilities will include client liaison, report writing and data presentation. Candidates will be required to perform a complete interpretation of well log data including data preparation, environmental corrections, parameter definition, water saturation evaluation, multi-mineral (probabilistic) evolution and inversion. Candidates should be post graduates having an upper first class degree in the geo-science field, wiht minimum 3 years working experience.
Candidates applying for the post should have either a Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering/Reservoir Engineering from a reputed institute Or Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering with working experience in the upstream oil industry or Bachelor's Degree in Maths/Physics with working experience in the upstream oil industry. Candidates should be proficient in basic concepts of reservoir engineering with relevant work experience of 2 to 3 years. Skills required for the job include: Well Testing at the field level & Interpretation thereof, Pressure Transient Analysis (PTA) exposure to Formation Testing during drilling, Basic knowledge of petroleum geology & log interpretation will be an added advantage Responsibilities will also include client liaision, report writing and data presentation
Senior Geomechanic Engineer
This is a specialty position requiring high level of scientific knowledge and expertise in petroleum engineering and rock mechanics. As such. The Senior Geomechanics Engineer must have at least a Masters Degree in Petroleum/Geolgoical Engineering specializing in rock mechanics applications, with at least 5-10 years of industry experience preferably in drilling and completion practices. Knowledge in structural geology analysis is also needed. The individual must also demonstrate high computer application proficiencies in addition to sound fundamental knowledge in engieering. mechanics and fluid flow in porous media. In line with Baker Atlas' mainstream activity; he/she must possess good knowledge of formation mechanicals properties and in-situ stress determinations using wireline logs. Working knowledge in rock mechanics laboratory testing techniques will be an added advantage.
