It is said that a 1000-mile journey begins with the first step. Those of you who had the opportunity to visit the introductory article and had worked on the CAREER GOALS have successfully taken the first step and it is only question of time before you celebrate success.

Critical success Factor and Areas of strategic Vulnerability.

Critical success factors are those things that can contribute to your success but can distract you from that factor that can contribute to your failure as well. Let us take an example. If a Sales persons is able to sell his product every day he would naturally turn blind eye to factors such as dramatization skill, Stress tolerance etc. which the current product he is selling may not require. But this does not mean there is not scope for development. What it does mean is that unless one is able to develop range of skills required by the profession one has chosen, one's growth would be very much hampered.

Now the question is how does one identify the General Professional skill requirement.Identifying Area of strategic vulnerability seems to be the answer to this issue. Strategic vulnerability enables you to focuses on both success factor and that factor that can contribute to your failure in the LONG RUN.

Now spend enough time and write down what you consider your critical success factor with reference to your life goals.

Tips for identifying critical success factor:

1. Re-look at some of the success you have had in life. It could be very small bit but do not neglect them. It could have occurred in your school days or college days or in your personal life. Analyze those incidents and write down what had contributed to success.
2. Try and speak to people who are very close to you and who you feel will give you candid feedback. It could be your friend, Teacher, Family member etc.
3. Involve in deep Introspection.
4. If you can experiment on few tasks take the opportunity to do so. Tasks like public speaking, social work, teaching children, etc. Note down the learning and your skill. Probably you may have to try few times. Never matter because life is about learning through experience.

Now at this stage you may come out with list of skills, which may have no direct relevance to your Life goal. Do not worry. The ultimate task is to sculpt your career. You may also come out with few skills like drawing, painting, origami etc., which may seem irrelevant, do not discount them. We shall show you how to use them effectively as well so as to set subordinate goals. We will also show how satisfying subordinate goals contribute to your achievement of your main goal.

Developing SPLATTER VISION

A black cat identifies that one gunman in huge mass of people. How does he do it? All he does it to see every person in total in different places and shifts his vision quick but does not neglect them he comes back to the person and evaluates his action. As career sculptor you must continuously visit your skill and revisit them regularly and write down your critical success factor. This will act as propellant for your growth.
