Question: Dear Sir, I am Squadron Leader Sachin Bhatnagar an Indian Air force officer.

I attended first GMP Course for Defence Officers at IIML from 03 jan-16 jun 05.

I am leaving Air Force in Jun 08.I request you to kindly help and guide me on the following, I will be ever grateful.

(i) Please tell me how to take career-counseling test & how to decide which areas are suitable for making a second career.
(ii) Which institutes conducts these tests, if you have their name, mail add.
(iii) How to assess personality type & areas suitable as per that for making career.
(iv) My basic exp of 11 years is in aviation/air Traffic controlling, if you know any body in this field that can guide me.
(v) How to go about writing CV
(vi) How to start job search
(vii) Sir at this point of life I don’t want to make a wrong career choice. plz help me in deciding my career

Answer: Dear Sqdn.Ldr. Bhatnagar,

Any career counselor would be able to help you in taking your test and make a profile of your apititudes, interests,personality,skills etc.and match its suitability with the available careers.You would have to find for a counselor in the place you reside for taking the test.

Your experience in the ATC is quite good as the Airports Authority of India(AAI) conducts the application and selection process for entry into this cadre.
