| Question: I'm a student of Amity University Uttar Pradesh doing B.Tech final year which is approved by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh under section 2f of the UGC act. Am I eligible to appear for GATE exam next year? Please send me the complete details regarding GATE. Whether the students of Amity University are elgibile for GATE entrance exam? | ||
| Answer: Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering(GATE) is an annual exam for admission to M.Tech and MS programmes in most engineering institutes.I t is conducted by IISc, Bangalore and the seven IIT's on behalf of the MHRD. The pattern and syllabus are usually based on the BE/BTech syllabus and the eligibility is BE/B.Tech/M.Sc/B.Arch. The exam is usually conducted on the second Sunday of February. Forms are usually available in late September till late October in all prominent SBI branches. The exam carries a total of 150 marks divided in three sections and is objective in nature. You are eligible for the test as long as your degree is recognised!
