ABB s Electrification Business Area (BA) is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel.
This is a Sales Engineer role at, reporting to the Cluster Manager in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Ahmedabad/ Vadodara and will be responsible for selling of products/systems/services within a designated market in accordance with strategy. You will be also responsible for building long term customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues.

Your responsibilities
  • Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets for assigned Divisions/Product Groups.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution.
  • Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Preparing sales plans using company tools.
  • Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plans in cases of potential order shortfalls.
  • Creating added value for the customer and ABB by using effective sales techniques.
  • Communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy.
  • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
  • Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
  • Generating reports on daily monthly basis.

Your background
  • B.E/B.Tech/Diploma in electrical engineering.
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years of expereince in sales Medium Volatge Switchgear products RMU s, Relays and Compact Substations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking and excellent negotaion skills.
  • Proven problem solving capability.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Flexible for travelling.
