OpsTech IT supply chain team is accountable to manage all IT infrastructure and end user equipment deployed across Amazon Fulfillment facilities globally. The team is responsible to provide end to end solutions for this equipment that includes lifecycle management, change control, demand planning, supplier readiness, material management, and total cost of ownership. Our initiatives deliver on the solutions that power the physical fulfillment to millions of Amazon.com customers across the world.
In this role, you will:
Work with external vendors to drive material management KPIs: forecast accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turnover and other similar KPIs.
Monitor supplier performance by creating effective metrics and establishing goals for improvement across multiple geographies.
Document create supplier enablement processes that are globally scalable and improve speed of execution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions to improve our material management process.
Serve as a key member of Ops tech IT supply chain team in helping to define and deliver global solutions at the same time documenting automated processes that address improved speed and scalability of the supply chain team.
Key to success in this role include exceptional program management skills, customer obsession and clear concise communications kills. The candidate needs to be able to extract insights from data and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions.
Manage team of buyers within supply chain team and drive motivate consistently, Bachelor s Degree in Business, Supply Chain, I.T. or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience with focus on supply chain, strategic sourcing, operational planning, or supplier management.
Should be an people manager and handled 10+ people
Advanced Degree
10+ years of experience with focus on supply chain, strategic sourcing, operational planning, or supplier management.
Experience and knowledge of I.T. equipment and components, including network infrastructure, peripherals, and end user equipment, suppliers, and the related supply chains
Ability to proactively manage supplier relationships to drive value for our customers
Ability to exercise judgment in evaluation of suppliers, supplier performance, and ensure that project goals, schedules and performance requirements are achieved
Exceptional skill in negotiation, contract development, and program management
Strategic, long term critical thinking and planning
Financial analysis and value / TCO analysis
An understanding of global supply risk and its implications
Bias for action and urgency
Customer obsession and clear concise communications skills
Must have a positive, collaborative attitude
Likes to challenge convention and strive for innovation
Excellent verbal skills and above average written communication skills
Strong PC skills including Windows and Excel
