The Intermediate Holding Company ( IHC ) program structured at the U.S. level across poles of activities of BNP Paribas provides guidance, supports the analysis, impact assessment and drives adjustments of the U.S. platform s operating model due to the drastic changes introduced by the Enhanced Prudential Standards ( EPS ) for Foreign Banking Organizations ( FBOs ) finalized by the Federal Reserve in February 2014, implementing Section 165 of U.S. Dodd-Frank Act.

The Team is part of the Information Technology Group which works simultaneously on a wide range of projects arising from business, strategic initiatives, regulatory changes and reengineering of existing applications to improve functionality and efficiency.

Position Purpose

The role will focus on the Funding and Liquidity IT workstream.

Where possible the solution will leverage existing architecture and infrastructure of other systems, but remains a separate segregated system, albeit closely linked to other internal tools.

The tool has a strong link to the BNP Paribas group as well since it provides the data for Liquidity regulatory reporting. Triton is built upon an Oracle 12c SQL database (using PL/SQL for business and reporting logic) and reuses a bespoke C#/WinForms reporting front-end. In addition, automated high-level reporting dashboards are produced on a daily basis


  • Requirement gathering Work with requirement providers and onsite team based in USA and Canada to gather and analyze requirements, conduct and participate in meetings / workshops to understand requirements.
  • Analysis Conduct functional/ Technical/ impact analysis. Write functional / Technical specifications for offshore development team based in Mumbai and Chennai.
  • Testing Support SIT / UAT and Regression testing. Create test cases as needed for testing. Update the IHC testing tool, HP ALM as needed. Work on defect resolution on defects raised by Users.
  • Coordination This position will require working with different teams based in different locations (which include Jersey City, Montreal, Mumbai Chennai). Effective coordination between different teams is required.
  • Documentation Raise change request for extracts / data required for reconciliation and controls, Raise Jira s for development, raise service now for incidents, prepare test cases etc.
  • Technical knowledge This role also requires some technical skills like writing SQL, reading stored procedures, coordinate file transfers / CFT connections.
  • Support production activities - Act as level 3 support for production activities. Ability to give clear direction on issue resolution.
  • Production Readiness Work with extract/ data providers, development team, and application production support team to deploy fully automated reconciliation into production.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Technical Behavioral Competencies

  • 8 or more years of experience working as a business analyst in a techno functional role.
  • Good knowledge of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL. Should be able to read, analyze and build complex SQL queries. Should understand the logic flow written in SQL, PLSQL language.
  • Prior experience with projects implementing a reconciliation framework within a large scale financial services organization.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Strong understanding of operational reconciliations within the Financial Services Industry, Banking and Capital Markets sectors.
  • Proven delivery management skills including project planning, coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC.
  • Prior experience in working in Onsite offshore model is a plus.
