AppDynamics RD Center in Bangalore was founded in 2015 with a focus on the core product and engineering areas. The Bangalore centre works closely with the San Francisco team and imbibes the culture that AppDynamics has become known for. Over the next few years, the Bangalore RD Center will continue to evolve as a centre of excellence for core product engineering innovation at AppDynamics.

AppDynamics is building premier, user-centred design practice to deliver well-crafted product designs that provide clarity, continuity and context for the IT professionals who use our product. We re in the midst of an agile transformation which includes organizing as co-located cross-functional squads. While some coordination with our headquarters in San Francisco will be expected, most day-to-day work will happen with your Design, Product, and Engineering colleagues based in the Bangalore RD Center.

• Be responsible for design and the team performance within one or more cross-functional squads who are delivering a defined roadmap following agile principles
• Capture and synthesize qualitative and quantitative data from stakeholders and user research
• Drive and iteratively deliver solutions that make it easier for the people who use our product to make quality decisions faster with greater confidence
• Build concepts, storyboards, wireframes, mocks, and prototypes to explore and convey design solutions
• Lead design reviews, communicate design concepts to leadership and engineering, contribute to roadmap planning, and sprint planning
• Work with fellow designers to improve the AppDynamics design system

The experience that will help you succeed in this role:

• 6+ years designing effective user-centered product experiences of moderate to advanced complexity
• At least one year managing one or more designers
• Designing enterprise software and/or dynamic data visualizations
• Working as part of a cross-functional product team
• Participating in discovery research, synthesizing findings and translating them into potential design solutions
• Evaluating design concepts through user research
• Learning a new technical problem space
• Presenting design concepts effectively to a wide variety of audiences (such as business, product, engineering, sales, and product support)
• A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Design or HCI, or equivalent experience
• Bonus: HTML / CSS/ JS development, motion design, and/or advanced prototyping skills
