Risk Management Solutions (RMS) is looking for a Workday Technical Engineer who is experienced in HCM to design and implement functional and technical solutions that bring efficiency and scale to our global organization. You ve probably never heard of us and that s okay. We model almost everything. At RMS, we build the simulation models that allow insurers and investors to understand portfolio risks due to catastrophes: natural catastrophes (hurricane, earthquake, flood), terrorism, pandemic, and changes in life expectancy.

The Workday Technical Engineer will be key member of the RMS People Operations and Systems team. Our ideal candidate will have hands-on functional and technical expertise in business analysis, requirements and design, configurations and development of integrations, EIBs, security, data management, reporting/dashboards and functional support of Workday modules (Core HCM, Absence, Learning, etc.). The candidate will effectively be partnering with stakeholders to develop a comprehensive understanding of business process requirements, leveraging best practices to design, configure and test solutions, inclusive of integrations, security, running end-user training sessions, and providing post-implementation support. Key differentiator of the Workday Technical Engineer will be a critical thinker who makes recommendations for systems and process improvements and leverage new capabilities and features in order to optimize investments of our People systems and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Primary functional and technical lead for all Workday integrations, BIRT statements and data management (analysis, design, development/configurations, test and deploy).
  • Technical lead for Workday security (domains, business process security policies, user-based and role-based role assignments)
  • Triage, diagnose and fix integrations, EIBs and other data management requests.
  • Fulfill various data requests, reporting needs and dashboards builds; build, maintain and support variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools; helping to maintain data integrity and compliance in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
  • Solutions architect from design to solutions configuration/deployment of Workday functional modules (Workday Core HCM, Absences, Learning, Recruiting, etc.)
  • Support Workday functional issues submitted by end-users, business process events, etc. via ServiceNow system.
  • Involve in features analysis, configurations, testing and implementation of system upgrades.
  • Participate in initiatives by assisting with business requirement gathering, business process review, testing, training, and documentation development.
  • Collaborate across functions and teams to define requirements, build and implement solutions.
  • Evaluate and create if needed user reference guides, systems playbook, training end users (new and existing employees) on new processes/functionality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working with Workday Studio and supporting all Workday integrations inclusive of BIRT where applicable.
  • 3+ years of in-depth Workday security (domains, business process security, user and role-based roles, intersection and document segment) knowledge
  • Demonstrated Workday HCM configuration experience (i.e. Business Processes , EIBs, Custom Reports Calc Fields).
  • 3+ years of experience in requirements gathering, quality assurance user acceptance testing, and preparing documentation and specifications.

  • Work independently and collaborate with team members from various teams.
  • Extremely analytical and detail oriented- very thorough and accurate when completing a task and performing impact analysis.
  • Take initiative, follow-through reliably and work with a sense of urgency while owning multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Proactively make recommendations and process improvements
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
