Job summary

The Red Hat Channel Sales team is looking for a Channel Account Manager with experience selling high-tech offerings and services to join us. In this role, you will manage all aspects of partner solutions development and delivering customer value. You will support a set of key Red Hat partner relationships and manage the development and implementation of partner solutions in the region. You'll be responsible for recommending, promoting, and demoting partners, and orchestrating partner solution go-to-market plans. You will also serve as the key point of contact between the partners and various Red Hat s regional sales and channels teams, creating awareness and training around partner solutions and providing guidance on how they can use these solutions in their sales pursuits. As a Channel Account Manager, you will also work with key distributors to develop next-generation go-to-market activities tied to distribution marketplaces. You ll need to have excellent communication skills and a record of success in technology channel sales and marketing to help us grow Red Hat's business with these key partners. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business. This position is open to internal candidates only. Primary job responsibilities
  • Develop business and go-to-market plans to guide partner and customer adoption within distribution marketplaces
  • Conduct and coordinate partner solution development workshops
  • Work closely with with partners, marketing, channel sales, and technical sales teams to develop and carry out solutions go-to-market strategies
  • Guide adoption of Red Hat s technologies through their incorporation with partner-led solutions offerings
  • Manage communication and awareness of partner solutions with Red Hat s associates, including channel sales, channel marketing, direct sales, and technical architects to support sales and account expansion efforts
  • Provide sales support to partner and Red Hat s sales teams through training, coordinating partner engagement, and providing technical and administrative information related to partner solutions
  • Create strategic and tactical plans for new business development while guiding the extended sales team in using these plans to maximize revenue and growth
  • Ensure accurate and timely sales forecasting related to partner solutions-related sales activity by both partner and Red Hat s teams
  • Develop sustainable revenue across technologies
  • Understand customer business problems related to partner offerings and communicate these to Red Hat s sellers (channel and direct) to ensure proper solutions positioning and understanding of delivered outcomes
Required skills
  • 3+ years of sales or channel management experience with a demonstrated record of success, preferably in the software or IT industry
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business, marketing, or other technical discipline
  • Knowledge of Red Hat s emerging technology solutions and passion for working with partners to solve unique customer challenges
  • Expertise in the complete sales cycle management from prospecting to closing
  • Solid understanding of business plan development and all of its components
  • Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team while demonstrating flexibility and initiative
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience with industry vertical solutions selling is a plus
