Role: Senior Accountant

What you must know?
We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include controlling financial reports, ensuring account reconciliations are done in the specified timelines, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned in collaboration with outsourced accounting partner

To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure

Roles Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable -

• Ensuring that vendor s and Utility bills are verified before processing them for payment.
• Ensuring vendors payment are processed on time as per payment cycle.
• Ensuring SMS/Incoming number provider invoices verified and processed for payment on time.
• Updating and maintaining records of expenditures.
• Checking and Processing travel bills for payment.
• Ensuring timely payment of all statutory dues like TDS, PF, PT, Service Tax etc.
• Guiding employees to fill the travel expenses sheet and follow the processes

Book keeping and Accounting -

• Close the books of accounts on monthly basis.
• Fixed Assets Accounting and General Ledger.
• Ensure that timely provided accounting data to Auditor during statutory audit

Compliance

• Preparation and timely submission of TDS and Service Tax Returns.
• Coordinate with PF consultant for Monthly PF compliance.

Payroll -

• Coordinating with HR for monthly attendance sheet.
• Ensuring timely provided payroll input data to Payroll outsourcing team.
• Timely follow up with Payroll team for Payroll MIS reports.
• Timely verification of payroll data and Ensuring salary processed on time.
• Coordination between Payroll team and employees.

Reporting Assist in preparation of -

• Cash flow statement
• Monthly MIS report
• Monthly financial statements.
