o Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification
o Routine welding and fabrication work in the factory premise
o Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
o Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards
o Follow, create and help maintain welding procedure specifications
o Set up welding cells for serial production runs
o Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators
o Assemble items as instructed by floor supervisor
o Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
o Follow all company rules and policies
o Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
o Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use
o Operate fork lift , if required and trained
o Performs first piece inspections as well as all subsequent inspections
o Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required
o Perform simple maintenance and repair as required
