Business

  • Security Technology Services (STS) is a critical function within Standard Chartered Bank operating under the overall purview of Technology Services .
  • The STS team is made up of cyber security thought leaders, who are accountable for the provision of a global set of cyber security services and products to maintain and continuously improve Bank s cyber security posture in today s ever evolving cyber security landscape.
  • The STS team protect the Bank from cyber security threats by delivering effective information security technology services, managing, and responding to security incidents to ensure, and support the continuity and growth of Bank s business operations; and meet the both internal and external stakeholders expectations across 70+ countries and territories, in which SCB operates.
  • Security Production Support within STS is a transversal service with a primary objective to provide Production Support Services (PSS) for all STS owned products and services. The PSS function requires an experienced leader to setup a production support team, Run and Govern the minimum production support controls defined by the bank across all security products and services. This includes managing all day-to-day production support operations covering event, incident, problem, release and change activities. In addition to business-as-usual activities, the role is also expected to drive support improvement initiatives for all the security service domain

Processes

  • Lead SRE teams to enhance application and infrastructure resiliency of service through self-healing and automation
  • Champion and evolve continuous delivery best practice standards to reduce release related incidents
  • Partner with development teams to ensure applications are designed with scale, resilience, and performance in mind.
  • Oversee the planned random disruption of production infrastructure to ensure accountability for building resilient, always-on systems.
  • Build resilience into the application so underlying system failures are handled gracefully and do not impact end users. Influence design/development teams to always be thinking of the rainy-day scenarios
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate all manual and repeatable activities (toil) via tooling and automation
  • Reduce the number of repeat incidents by permanently fixing the underlying root cause of issues

People and Talent

  • Candidates to have strong Security Domain production experience and has operated in and possibly leading Tribes and Squads
  • Strong leadership skills who can inspire and cultivates strong partnership with clients and internal partners
  • Proven experience in Cloud computing and SAAS
  • Responsible for teams sitting in both global and hub locations
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from their team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people.
  • Has performed Production tasks within the SDF/SDLC process
  • Has supported Change Management and Incident Management functions
  • Highly motivated, results-driven, and able to multi-task
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work well with cross-organizational teams

Risk Management

  • Identify key issues in the business areas being supported, and based on this information, put in place appropriate controls and measures to assess, monitor, control mitigate risks.
  • Ensure a full understanding of the risk and control environment within Technology Services.
  • Ensure support procedures are in place and adhere to Group Security Audit policies within Technology Services.
  • Active engagement with all audit issues arising in this support environment.

Governance

  • Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas
  • Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.
  • Responsible for delivering effective governance ; capability to challenge fellow executives effectively; and Willingness to work with any local regulators in an open and cooperative manner.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Strong functional knowledge of Financial FX products like spot, NDF, swaps etc.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Financial Rates productions like Bonds, Treasuries etc.
  • Ability to drive incident bridges by involving all the relevant parties and progressing the issues / outages to closure
  • Complete understanding of end to end trade lifecycle
  • Knowledge of FX FIX connectivity Client onboarding
  • Very good knowledge of ITRS Geneos / Oracle SQL / KDB
  • Strong scripting skills either in bash or python.
  • Strong shell/Perl scripting skills. Ability to automate manual task and seek continuous improvement in support performance
  • Good working knowledge of Splunk and ability to write reports using splunk
  • Good understanding in infrastructure setup, O/s memory management, capacity review
  • Good understanding in networking concepts and ability to trouble shoot and understand latency issues
  • ITIL Foundation V3 and PMP is preferable.
