Toptal is looking for an experienced content writer, interviewer, and storyteller to join our Publications team. You will work closely with members of our Sales, Brand, and Growth teams as well as members of our elite, global talent network to produce high-quality, insightful case studies for use in sales collateral, marketing materials, event presentations, and thought leadership content. These case studies will illuminate Toptal s successes in addressing client needs and help our internal stakeholders communicate what makes our business great.

This is a remote position that can be done from anywhere. Due to the remote nature of this role, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Resumes and communication must be submitted in English.

• In partnership with our Sales team, you will develop a high-level strategy for case study development and distribution, aligning your efforts to our overall business goals.
• You will establish and manage editorial and creative workflows to ensure assets are accurate and delivered on-time.
• You will interview key stakeholders, identifying key themes and narratives that help tell our story better.
• You will write and edit short- and long-form case studies and ensure they are discoverable by internal stakeholders.
• You will collaborate with Brand and Publications colleagues to facilitate the production of public-facing content leveraging your work.

• Onboard and integrate into Toptal, meeting the key stakeholders you will be working with.
• Onboard onto the Publications team, familiarizing yourself with our tools and processes.

• Work with the Head of Publications, your Lead Editor, and the Sales team to devise an approach to case study development.
• Integrate into the larger Brand Marketing team.

• Be regularly producing high-quality case studies that fulfill the needs of our various stakeholders.

• Be ready to scale up production efforts by refining your approach, increasing output by optimizing efficiency.
• Regularly collaborate with colleagues to produce public-facing content based on your case study work.

• Be the primary liaison for cross-functional initiatives involving Publications, Sales, and Content Marketing.

• 5 to 7 years of experience working as a content writer.
• A strong portfolio of clips demonstrating relevant experience in B2B marketing roles, including customer case studies or success stories.
• Experience working with and developing content with technical/professional subject matter experts.
• Openness to receiving direct feedback and constructive criticism.
• An exceptional interviewer: You are comfortable speaking to people from all different fields, able to discern what will be interesting to our audience and what will be distracting.
• A strong, concise writer: You re a storyteller, capable of getting to the point, recognizing what elements of a story are meaningful, and driving those points home. You can make complex concepts seem straightforward, and value clarity over style.
• Versatile: You re comfortable handling a wide variety of topics (design, finance, engineering, product management, product management, technology, etc.).
• Organized: You re a capable multitasker, able to manage workflows, good at sticking to timelines, and willing to set expectations around deliverables.
• Proactive: You re motivated, willing to chase down the information you need when you need it and are not easily dissuaded when obstacles get in your way.
• Detail-oriented: You sweat the details, are comfortable working with a style guide, and take great pains to ensure your copy is clean before you hand it off.
