Business Development Manager - Market Linkages

Hiring For Business Development Manager - Market Linkages for developing agri-output business from the scratch. This includes managing end to end operations starting from procuring the outputs from Growers or Mandis and culminates and selling these to the domestic or international buyers.

Team Size: Individual Contributor, Job incumbent has to build his own team

Reporting to: Vice President - Marketing & Co-Founders

Overall years of Experience Required: At least 5 years of relevant work experience

Nature of Job: Procurement, Key Account management, Institutional & International Sales

Geography to be covered: Pan India: AP & Telangana to begin with + International Markets

Industry Preference: Agri Commodity Trading & Warehousing companies

Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage the complete PnL for the output business and to achieve the annual targeted operational profit for the business division.
  • Implement and tweak negotiation tactics
  • Establishing Vendor Relationship at different geographies to improve purchase
  • Review and recommends revisions to processes and procedures to ensure maximum


  • Promoting B2B alliances towards enhancing profitability of the company while creating a strong pull or brand among growers as well as B2B consumers of agri produce.
  • Identify new business opportunities for the company by identifying demands of agri commodities buyers (retail stores, food processors, exporters , trading & warehousing companies)
  • Responsible for managing all the functions including purchase and sales, domestic/ export/import transactions of agri output across the origins with focus (To and from) on Indian Sub-continent.
  • Manage trading positions including forward positions and inventories, to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
  • Fundamental & technical ( wherever applicable) Research and Analysis of Agri-Commodities and communicating the market directions to the team to identify trade opportunities, observing market trends (Future as well as spot markets) in order to maximize profitability.
  • Coordination between teams (origin and/or Destination offices) and Customers/Suppliers for trade operations which includes trade documentation, Logistics, and port operations.

Qualification: B.Sc (Agri) + MBA

Industry: Agriculture / Dairy / Fishing / Forestry

Functional Area: Marketing & Product Management

Experience: 5 + years

Location: Hyderabad (Telangana, India)

Salary: ₹ 15,00,000 - 20,00,000 P.A.
